Item Condition Definitions

Our item condition definitions will help assist you in your purchasing decisions.

New - Factory Sealed

For both games and accessories, this is exactly as stated. The product is brand new, with some sort of retail packaging.
Both the item and any applicable packaging will be flawless or close to flawless.
This is the kind of condition you would expect to find in a "bricks and mortar" retail store

New - Bulk Packaging

These are new items that do not include any standard retail packaging
Repair parts, cables, and small items that are not manufacturered with any packaging are usually classified with this condition.
This class also includes "system pulls," or items that were part of a bundle which have been pulled from that bundle. For example: One popular bundle is the Nintendo's Wii Play with Remote. If, for example, the Wii Remote was removed from the original bundle and sold on its own, it would be considered "New with Bulk Packaging."
There may be slightest of markings from shipping, movement, and the like.

Refurbished

Refurbished items are products which have been returned to the manufacturer or retailer intact and working. They are then cleaned up and re-sold.
Important: A refurbished item does not mean it has been damaged or broken. This is a common misconception. If an item is broken, damaged, or not working it will be sold as "Used - Damaged."
Refurbished items do not include standard retail packaging. They may be re-packaged as part of their cleanup.
They are usually tested and carry the same guarantee as new or used items.
There may be slight markings from prior use, transit, etc. They will be cleaned up as best they can, with no major blemishes or defects.

Used - Like New

For games:
- The game is flawless and plays perfectly with no visible scratches on the disc.
- Includes game, case, manual, artwork, and everything else originally included. Essentially new, just not sealed.
For all other merchandise:
- The product has been very lightly used, but is in otherwise excellent condition.
- This class includes "system pulls" from returned items. For example: If a customer buys an Xbox 360 bundle from a store, and then returns it a few weeks later, the store cannot legally sell that Xbox 360 again. So the components of the bundle
- The item may have very small blemishes, but nothing major. Anything unsightly has been cleaned up. For example,
- "Refurbished" items fall into this class. Like-new items are guaranteed to work as good as new.

Used - Good / Very Good

For games:
- The game has been tested and and plays perfectly. May have extremely slight marks on the disc, but nothing that would affect gameplay.
- Includes game and original case. Manual and/or artwork may not be included.
For all other merchandise:
- The item is used, not in excellent condition, but very good nonetheless.
- There may be markings from normal usage. No cleaning or other refurbishing has been applied, but the item is guaranteed to work well.
- Rarely, these items may have slight damage, but nothing that would affect gameplay in any way.
- This is the condition a controller might be in after about two years of normal use.

Used - Acceptable

For games:
- The game has been tested and and plays fine without any problems. May have marks on the disc, but these should not adversely affect gameplay.
- Original case may not be included - if so, game will be placed in a protective sleeve. Game. Manual and/or artwork are most likely not included.
For all other merchandise:
- These products are used and are still guaranteed to work, but physically they are not in good condition
- They may include markings, dings, scuff marks, or other blemishes. No cleaning or refurbishing has been applied.
- These items may have damage, but nothing that would affect gameplay in any way. Acceptable items are guaranteed to function as intended.

Used - Damaged

These products are broken or contain damaged or unuseable parts.
They may include markings, dings, scuff marks, or other blemishes. No cleaning or refurbishing has been applied.
These items have damage that will affect gameplay or functionality. These items are not guaranteed to function as intended, and are usually sold for parts.
