AVOID THIS DRIVE UNLESS IT IS YOUR ONLY OPTION, if you own an xbox with a Hitachi drive just dump the drive key on a computer and flash a Benq or Sammy they are much better and much quieter, they also last much longer. Some cant flash so just kill your xbox send it back hope they put in a better drive as this drive SUCKS!

Great website to purchase the replacement drive and more importantly, it provided excellent instructions on how to perform the replacement. Pay attention to the video. Some sites offer detailed instructions on flashing the drive. Flashing, which requires specialized equipment, is not needed when using this method. Again, great advice and a very good outcome.

I replaced the drive in a friend of mine's xbox with this prouduct and was quite impressed with the promptness with which it was delivered. i must apoligize im the one who said i think i got ripped off well what i did was replaced the x bracket on the gou with some bscrews the applicable size and it plays great now sorry for the negative feedback i had the 3 red lights of death so i repaird my xboxelite myself and now it works fine great service thanks vp

Drive is great. Works perfect. Just had to swap original board with new new one and machines regonized it. Game on! For now anyway...never know with microsoft..Thank VPgames fast service. I'll use you again...

after i recieved my replacement drive it had a blank dvd in it with the numbers4.28 whatever that means and it plays for about 5min in a game and the it freezes and white staticlines appear across my tv screen whats going on i think i got ripped off.

Drive looks good ...the machines recognizes it but i am not able to use it because i can't get the firmware from the old one to flash this new one! the old drive fried and key can not be retrieved.... but i will keep it for future parts. Great service ... Thanks
