No where in the product description did it mention that you had to have a PS3 controller with a USB cable connector to plug into the device to get it to work initially. I didn't have one, which ended up adding to my total cost. Otherwise it works fine for my purposes.

I've bought this converter to connect my Custom Joystick on the XBOX360 in an attempt to expand my sources of competition for Fighting Games. Realizing it's nigh-impossible to find a good/cheap stick for the X360, I decided to use my Custom PSX Stick(used for DC) and buy this converter. Shipped pretty quick, the converter and it's contents are pretty straightforward. Plug in and play. Ran it through some online tests, and in-game tests. Converter has lag-free input. So for those of you playing games with strict frame requirements(IE High-level Fighting Games) it should work fine.

I got it to work with not that many problems. You just plug in a controller to the xbox. Turn the Xbox on and then when your at the halo menu or whatever menu, you unplug the controller and then plug the controller in to the max shooter usb. Then plug the max shooter into the xbox. You can't use a mic for some reason. It works alright, but you have to reset all your buttons everytime you play. The mouse is a little shaky because the mouse controls the analog stick (which is pretty hard to use). Overall I'm not that much of a console gamer(PC for about 9 years), but it made a better transition into console gaming. I get a lot more frags with the mouse than the actual controller. It is definantly not the same as using a keyboard and mouse on a computer but it is about 50% better than using a controller if your an experienced pc gamer.
